It isn’t every day that you get to meet someone who is celebrating their 102nd birthday. It was a pleasure to meet Eunice, who goes by Patty. The most common question I get is whether I asked Patty the secret to living a long life as she has. I didn’t ask her it didn’t even cross my mind. I sat down with Patty to learn a little bit of her story. She was born in Minnesota. Patty tells me she was a waitress at a depot, where the trains would stop for soldiers to stop and eat. At 18 years old, Patty left for Eau Claire Wisconsin…to follow a boy. Patty mentioned on a few occasions that she was lucky to have been cared for by two good men in her life. So maybe that is the secret, follow your heart!
