I am an Eau Claire, Wisconsin photographer specializing in portraiture of children, high school seniors, families and branding including headshots.
I am an avid collector of souvenirs. From antique books and cameras to stacks of photo albums documenting our family’s milestones, my souvenirs take many forms. My journey has taken me from the cobblestones of Warsaw to the mountains of Algeria, and from metropolitan Toronto to my studio located in the heart of Eau Claire. I am an admirer of poppies, lavender and hydrangeas, a recovering chauffeur to four teenage boys, smitten with my dog Bentley and a grateful partner to an amazing husband who has been my pillar for twenty years.

Papyrus
From textured stationary stained by calligraphy to serif fonts amongst the gilded pages of an antique book of fairytales, this material delights me. I love its earthy and slightly musty scent as it decomposes over time. I love the discovery of alluring words painted across its surface —words like petrichor, the pleasant smell that accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather. One word and I am transported to long, summer, childhood days in Warsaw, Poland.
Souvenirs
Traveling stirs up memories of my childhood spent in Poland and Algeria, running around old Roman ruins, posing like a statue atop a 6th century column in Djemila, collecting desert roses in the Sahara and climbing the hillsides near Setif collecting scorpions. These souvenirs resurface as I walk the Croatian countryside, Namibian Dunes and the base of Patagonia’s Torres Del Paine. Culture, history, architecture and the cuisine of faraway places fuel my soul and fill me with nostalgia.
Serendipity
I believe in the power of this beautiful word, which has been behind so many experiences in my life. A rash decision to look at a vacant space with stunning brick and light catapulted me into this profession. A chance encounter in Eau Claire led me to a beautiful tulle skirt created locally and a hand-painted canvas backdrop which I retrieved myself in Scotland. My life has been shaped by fortunate coincidences and the journeys they inspired.
Rabbit holes
Perhaps it is no coincidence that my family nickname is “Bunny”. Although the original idiom comes from Alice In Wonderland, I know “rabbit holes” as that place one delves into with vigor during Google searches, starting in one place and ending somewhere entirely unexpected. I love digging deeper and deeper as my desire for explanations drives me to hours of research. Time escapes me as I explore this Wonderland and emerge with trivial knowledge gained!
Grey
I live in the grey! Although I like boundaries, I tend to push them. Yes, speed limits are just suggestions to me! I am particular in how I spell the word. After all, I learned English in Canada, which has a heavy British influence, and, as you have may have guessed, I love words. So Grey instead of Gray it is. My most favorite grey, however, is Bentley, the grey and white gentle giant who believes himself to be a lapdog and gives me unconditional love.
